nyc PR girls

Day 5: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don’t have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member.

While I don’t really have any super close personal blogger friends, I figured I would take this opportunity to mention Meg and Adrianna from nyc PR girls– mainly because they provide Q&A and insider tips for PR girls living in NYC, where I hope to end up someday! My best friend showed me this website over a year ago, and I’ve even blogged about them in previous entries and check in at least a few times a week.

Classes can teach you how to draft a press release and what skills to highlight on your resume, but reading about real-life experiences and applications of public relations practices is way more interesting when you hear it from a couple of 20-somethings actually living your dream life.

nyc PR girls is written in a personable, encouraging, and informative style without being catty or uptight. The authors genuinely want to help offer the best PR advice to those interested in entering the business, and even provide a Q&A, Guide, Activities (bucket list of things to do in NYC) and are very active on Twitter in addition to providing a “rolodex” of related PR blogs.

I love this blog because reading it feels like a phone call with a friend or mentor who has graduated from college and is now living the life I imagine for myself. This blog is easy to follow, inspiring and informative. What more could you ask for?
